How often do you alienate potential customers this way?

Close up of some simmental cow faces

I see this so often and I’m sure I was guilty of it in the past – enthusing about my product or service so much that I put people off!

The most important thing to remember is that it’s not all about you!  Yes, you want to promote your business, but your business will only thrive if you know what people want.  Listening is key….finding out what’s going on for other people.  Then you’ll be able to tell if and how your business can help them.

Nobody likes being sold to.  But people do want to buy a solution to their problem.

There are no doubt many benefits to your product or service, but what people want to know are the particular benefits that will address their particular issue or problem.  Telling them all of the benefits will just make them feel sold to.

Be enthusiastic about helping them but make it about them!
