Why this Lesson from School is Important
At the moment my son is doing his GCSE mocks, and I have received lots of information from the school about how to help him, and how he can help himself, to revise. The main thing is to create a revision timetable. It occurs to me that it’s such a useful lesson. When you want to get things done you need to:
- Decide what revision needs doing – or break down your project into what steps you need to take.
- Plan when you’re going to do each subject or part of it (and for us in some cases, who’s going to do it)
- Do it!
What it boils down to is that it’s not enough just to put “Revision” on a to-do list and hope that you’ll get it done! Same goes for business projects. Often I see people putting down things, which are quite involved, on their to-do list as just one item! A bit like putting ‘Revision’.
The schools also mention getting enough sleep, eating properly and having some relaxation time – all of which is equally applicable!
Make is fun, make it easy, make it happen!
